Asst. Prof. Warodom Werapun (Ph.D)

Welcome to my home page. My name is Warodom Werapun from Computer Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Phuket Campus. I was born in Yala, Thailand. I am a lecturer since 2002. I graduated with my bachelor degree from PSU (Songkhla), master degree from KMITL (Bangkok) and Ph.D. from ENSEEIHT (Toulouse, France).

Why I am here? Well, I love to teach my students in order to bring them understand knowledge of computer technologies that I have previously learned. In addition, the university environment is very attractive to me: various computers and IT resources, a beautiful dormitory, good weather, a music room, and a long story of wonderful basketball gymnasium, etc. These offer great quality of life better than working in Bangkok.

Selected Projects 2015

tups photo

TUPS

The Ultimate Programming System (TUPS) is a self-learning and contest system. TUPS is awarded at 2nd prize in NSC Contest 2015. TUPS is developed by Ohm. Phalcon framework is used to build this system. You can play it here: http://x.coe.phuket.psu.ac.th/judge/.

MPGAD Photo

MPAGD

Multi-purpose anemometer and gas detector (MPAGD) is a complete system that can use to measure wind speed, wind direction and gas (both LPG and CO2) in order to notify users through various social networks. Information is stored in database and can be accessed from anywhere, any time and any device. Raspberry PI, sensors, android, and GCM are used to build this system. This project is developed by Tle, Park and Priew.

rain gauge photo

Online Rain Gauge

Online Rain Gauge is a low-cost system that can use to measure rain level and access information from web browser. The rain gauage component sizes are referred from metrological department center. Information is stored in database and can be accessed from anywhere, any time and any device. Raspberry PI, photo sensors and Flask framework are used to build this system. This project is developed by Chai.

Activities

Sport

Basketball is one of my favourite sports. I usually play basketball in order to burn calories and keep me the great health.

This photo was taken by my student since I joined CoE basketball team. This game is very fun.

Music

When I was young, I started my music life with an electone. After that, I tried both acoustic and electric guitars and a piano. I found myself that a guitar is my favourite music instruments.

This song was recorded when I studied at KMITL.

After I graduated from KMITL and returned to PSU. I joined a CoE student group for a rock music. This song is named "Fighting" composed by SMF. I love this song very much. Various guitar techniques are used in this song.

Just a short description of my activities in free time.
